Mr. Christopher J. Howard
Deputy Director, 30th Signal Battalion-Hawaii
Mr. Christopher J. Howard assumed duties as the Deputy Director, 30th Signal Battalion / Network Enterprise Center Hawaii in June 2018. Mr. Howard retired from active duty with the U.S. Air Force in 2008 at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant after completing 22 years of enlisted service.
Mr. Howard received military training as a tactical radio operator, Military Auxiliary Radio System operator, Information Systems specialist, and military training instructor. Mr. Howard served in a variety of units during his active duty career, including assignments in Athens, Greece; McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Mr. Howard’s prior civilian assignments were as the Operations Officer and Plans and Program Manager for Marine Corps Installation Pacific G6 in Okinawa, Japan; Navy Computer and Telecommunications Station, Point Mugu, California; and with Navy Facilities Command Pacific Command Information Office, Hawaii.
Mr. Howard received two associates degrees, a Bachelor’s in Management of Information Systems with a minor in Computer Science in 2002; a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management in 2004 and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management in 2016. Mr. Howard attended the Senior Noncommissioned Officers Academy, NCO Academy, and Airman Leadership courses.
Mr. Howard’s military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal (2OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal (3OLC), Combat Readiness Medal (3OLC). Mr. Howard has the basic static-line parachute badge, static-line jumpmaster and military free-fall parachute badge.
